At Safa
إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ
Innas-Safa wal-Marwata min sha'a'irillah
Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah.

Two unstitched white cloths for men, ordinary modest dress for women. Ghusl before wearing it, then the intention. From that moment the prohibitions of Ihram apply: no perfume, no cutting hair or nails, no clipping, no arguing, no hunting, and no marriage contracts.

Outside Ramadan and Hajj season the Haram is calmer and prices are lower — particularly the months after Hajj. Ramadan carries the greatest reward and the greatest crowds, and it needs booking many months ahead.
